Utah trip, Spring break

This is a bit late but I thought I would post anyway, just for the family journal's sake. You're welcome future people.
We took a trip to Utah over Cate's spring break this year, and boy was it cold! We even had to stop and buy chains (or they wouldn't let us through) coming over Donner Pass. Silly unprepared Californians, we are. Most other people were in their capris and flip-flops (and no jackets) in a blizzard installing chains so we weren't the only silly peeps. So it took us seven hours to get to Reno the first night--darn--no swim party when we got to our sweet hotel.
Anyway, we made it to Utah the next day and it welcomed us with a White Easter morning.
We had a great time while we were there, loved every minute we spent with Grandma, Greg, Clark and all the other relatives that we got to visit with. Now if only the weather could have been a bit more congenial...
We had a great time at the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. The kids could have spent hours and hours there. We took the kids to see Temple Square and the Conference Center--it was a brief visit because Momma was cold, but the kids got to see everything.
It was so nice to have Grandma cooking for us, we were even lucky enough for her to make us her cinnamon rolls. I am sure Grandma must have just slept for a few days after our hurricane, I mean, family, left.
The kids loved Clark so much, they wished he was their older brother or uncle or something that would provide them the right to spend more time with him. Unfortunately we didn't get to see uncle John too much because he went and got sick.
Anyway, we can't wait to go back--preferrably with more agreeable temps--and visit with everyone again!

We had to do that once, when we were heading to San Jose for summer and had to buy chains. Looks like you had fun. Did Ryan's parents move to Utah?
